I’ve been following Dan Brock’s Deadbeat Super Affiliate system for a while now, and I just wanted to give you something that has helped me in my own life–really in just every area of my life, but it spills over into this whole affiliate marketing thing.
What is the “WHY?” behind what you are doing? In other words, “Why do you want to be successful in affiliate marketing or whatever it is your doing in your life?”
You see, that “why?” has to be big. It has to be emotionally powerful, and the reason for that is if you have a small “why” or you don’t really know why you want to do what you want to do, or you have some abstract something out there like “I want to make a lot of money,” or “I want to be rich,” …
… if that’s your “why,” then you’re going to fail!
The reason for this is that when it gets tough, you have a setback, or you’re not seeing the results you want to see, you’re going to quit, because the “why” is not there. There’s nothing pushing you to make it happen.
Making money–in and of itself–CANNOT be your “why.”
Money is simply a means to an end. For me, my “why” is my family. I have four incredible kids and one amazing wife, and they are everything to me. I want to spend as much time with them, I want to give them the most happiness, and the greatest experiences possible. That is the “why” for me.
Every goal that I set always has my family in mind!
If up to this point, being rich or making “x” number of dollars is your dream, I want you to stop right there. Reevaluate your “why.” What is it that you really want in life? Then, yes, money can be a means to that end, but until you change that, you will not be successful.
